Two suspects aged between 27 and 28 were arrested on 9 July for dealing and being in possession of illegal drugs.
It is alleged that the sector police were patrolling the area on that day when they came across a group of unknown men who were loitering.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya says that the police stopped and searched them.
“During the search the police found 32 packets of the nyaope drug on one of the suspects. The suspect was arrested together with one of his accomplices who was also in possession of a packet of dagga and nyaope.”
He says that later they were detained at the Kagiso Police Station.
“A case docket of dealing in as well of being in possession of illegal drugs was opened against the two suspects respectively at the Kagiso Police Station.”
They have made an appearance in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court.
