Biker dies in collision

A man sadly has died due to extensive injuries that he had sustained in a motorbike accident this morning, 23 July in West Village.

The motorcyclist collided with a Ford Bantam bakkie in a side-impact collision at the corner of Tom Muller Street and the R28, near Randfontein.

ER24 paramedics were called out shortly before 7am and when they arrived on scene they found that the man had sustained multiple and extensive injuries and there was nothing more that could be done to save his life.

He was declared dead on the scene a short while later.

The driver of the bakkie fortunately was not injured in the collision and local authorities will be investigating the cause of this fatal accident and as to who was at fault.
