The South African Police is appealing to the public to help them in tracking down a man who is wanted for allegedly kidnapping and raping a Kagiso woman.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, the complainant was on her way to the shops on 20 July at about 3.30pm when she walked past a group of young men standing on the corner of Thulame and Mogorosi Streets in central Kagiso.
“One of them approached the complainant and later pushed and forced her into a vehicle. The complainant’s hands and feet were bound and she was blindfolded by the five unknown occupants. They drove to an isolated area in the white Toyota Tazz, where later two of them allegedly raped the complainant.”
One of the suspects is dark in complexion and around 1.70m tall with a hefty body.
“He was wearing a pair of grey school trousers with a black hoodie sweater and All Star takkies. He has a visible old scar next to his right eye,” says Sibiya.
The investigating officer, Sergeant Motsweni is appealing to anyone who recognises or knows the suspect to call her on 083 954 0846. The information will be treated with strict confidentiality.
