Sexual offender to appear in court

The man who sexually exposed himself to underage school girls has briefly appeared in court.

After making a brief appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court this morning (29 August), the alleged sexual offender’s case has been postponed for the trial to begin on 29 October.

The suspect did not plea, however details suggest that he will plead not guilty once his trial commences.

Once the suspect pleas the NEWS will be able to publish his name.

Last month he appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court where his case was also postponed.

Former NEWS reporter Marizka Coetzer reported earlier that the man was arrested at his workplace on 9 April after two cases against him was opened for exposing himself to underage school girls, with the youngest being 11 years old.

The alleged sexual offender admitted to the investigating officer that he sometimes had sexual urges while he was at work.

The NEWS will keep its readers updated as the case in the Magistrates’ Court unfolds.
