
On 2 August at about 2pm a suspect in his late 40s allegedly attacked and stabbed four people on the street next to a local secondary school in Kagiso Extension 14.
The police received a complaint of the stabbing at about 2.15pm and rushed to the scene of the crime.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson from Kagiso says that they found an Ethopian national who was bleeding from stab wounds to his face.
“Later he was airlifted to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto. In further investigations the police found that three more people, including a 14-year-old pupil, also were stabbed and rushed to hospital. The pupil died in hospital.”
The police are on a manhunt for the suspect who is armed with a knife.
