Alyssa’s murder: three plead guilty
Three men pleaded guilty to murder as well as numerous other crimes committed during their crime spree of September 2012.
Three men, Alfred Zwane (27), Samson Mandlezi (23) and Manir Lubisi (27) have pleaded guilty for murdering Alyssa Botha on the night of 5 September 2012.
The life of the 13-year-old Monument High School pupil was claimed in a house robbery at around 7pm in Rietfontein, Muldersdrift. Alyssa’s father and elder sister were also wounded.

Yesterday, 16 September, the three men pleaded guilty to nine of the 10 charges against them in the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.
The three also admitted to killing 50-year-old André Jordaan.
Jordaan was shot on his smallholding on 13 September 2012 and died in hospital two days later.
Jordaan was attacked about 500 metres from where Botha was shot.

According to the court report, the men also pleaded guilty to other crimes namely robbery, theft, attempted murder, assault and burglary.
The trial continues.
