Murder and suicide: woman’s body found in boot

The deaths are likely to be domestic violence-related.

Two bodies found by police at a house in Munsieville indicates an extreme case of alleged domestic violence.

According to Krugersdorp SAPS spokesperson Constable Tshepiso Mashale, police were called to the house at approximately 7.30am and found the body of a 29-year-old male who had hung himself in his parents’ house.

“He was declared dead on arrival,” says Mashale.

“When officers stepped outside the house they found a BMW parked on the premises. On further investigation they found documents and a suicide note in the car.”

Police furthermore detected traces of blood and soil in the vehicle.

According to Mashale the vehicle was searched and the body of a 29-year-old female was found in the boot.

“The deaths are likely to be domestic violence-related since there were Protection Order documents found at the scene,” she says.

The case is being investigated by the Krugersdorp Detectives Unit.
