Three men aged between 21 and 33 made a brief appearance in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court on 30 September for robbing their friend last week.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson says that on Thursday 26 September at about 10pm the complainant was at a nearby tavern with friends when they threatened him.
“One of the suspects was armed with a knife and threatened to kill the complainant, while the others held him to prevent him from getting away.”
During the robbery R600 was stolen from the complainant who then reported the matter to the police. They followed up and managed to arrest the suspects at about 7.55am on Saturday 28 September.
All three suspects were detained at the Kagiso Police Station where a case docket of robbery was opened.
