A 33-year old man is currently in police custody facing charges of attempted murder after assaulting a sex worker and running her over with his car.
According to Krugersdorp SAPS spokesperson Constable Tshepiso Mashale the man approached the 22-year-old sex worker on the pretence of wanting to make use of her services.
“He however assaulted her as she got into his car and threw her out of the moving vehicle,” she says.
“He then proceeded to reverse into her,” she adds.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The man accused of attempted murder is set to appear in court.
