Fitness champions awarded
A person's habits change after about three weeks, which makes this challenge effective.
The Sportcon Fitness and Performance Centre awarded their fitness champions who completed the 28-day challenge last month.
A total of 57 people started the challenge, but only 37 managed to push through.
Stian Weideman, a strength and conditioning coach and the owner of Sportcon says the challenge proved to be a success.
“As a group we lost 99,3kg, 118cm, 89 per cent body fat and their training performance improved by 45 per cent.”
He attributes this to the way his 28-day challenge was designed.
“A person’s habits change after about three weeks, which makes this challenge effective as our people were training for four weeks.”
He says what made his challenge different is that many people are eager to start the eight or 12 week challenges, but are struggling halfway through and eventually give up.
“For this challenge there were results but it was not the same as in eight weeks though.”
