Ninjas invade Krugersdorp
Who are these people? And what are they doing?
Have you noticed men and women in ninja gear walking the streets of Krugersdorp lately? Or did a ninja sneak up on you while sitting in your car to get you to open the window?
It seems that the local ninja invasion that has had numerous motorists frantically scurrying about is no reason for fear, but a clever awareness campaign to inform residents about an upcoming festival – Die Vasvat Fees.
The festival is in aid of charity and will take place in Ruimsig next month.
According to the main organiser, Krugersdorp pastor, counsellor and lecturer Alwyn van Heerden, the festival promises to have a stunning lineup of performing artists, good food and interesting stalls and will take place at Maragon Schools in Ruimsig on Saturday 6 September.
A battle of the bands division will be part of the lineup.

Van Heerden explains that a large portion of the funds generated by the festival will be donated toward families of local disabled children.
“Children from West Rand School and Gateway School include those who will benefit,” he says.
Die Vasvat Fees was the brainchild of Van Heerden and a group of his students who want to unite the community of Krugersdorp and its surrounding areas in aid of a good cause.
