Local taxi commuters may be affected by strike
Are you affected by today's taxi strike?

A taxi strike embarked on without warning, mostly affecting the northern parts of Gauteng, also may leave some Krugersdorp commuters stranded.
Taxis were blocking the M1 highway in Johannesburg earlier on but reports said it had been cleared. The reason for the strike seems to be the ongoing e-tolls saga and drivers permits.
The SA National Taxi Council said it did not call for the strike.
The news tried to contact the Greater Krugersdorp Taxi Association in order to verify if any Krugersdorp taxi drivers are taking part in the strike, but to no avail.
The strike is set to continue until 1pm.
Any information from local taxi commuters will be welcomed. Leave your comment in the box provided below the article.
