Santa Shoe Boxes for children’s home

Christmas arrived a bit earlier at the Bethany House Trust with a surprise for the children.

Christmas will be extra special this year at the Bethany House Trust home with a little help from the community and friends of Bethany.

Mandy Machos decided to embark on a Santa Shoe Box challenge this year to make Christmas special for the children of the house.

The children could not help but be curious as colourfully wrapped boxes were carried into the house.

“Is that for me?” asked one of the boys who was very excited about the visit.

Pizza Hut from Honeydew also got involved in the shoe-box project.

Each box was wrapped with gender and age specifications written on them to ensure a special boy or girl receives a gift.

A total of 153 boxes were made up and handed out.

“This is not bad for our very first try,” said a grateful Mandy.
