Give a dog a bone this Christmas
A few underdogs received more than just a bone for Christmas.
A local pet shop raised an astonishing amount of money that will be donated in the form of bones to orphaned and rescued dogs.
The Catbox at Key West shopping centre decided to launch a Give a Dog a Bone campaign where customers could donate money for a bone to treat a four-legged friend this Christmas.
They managed to donate 52 bones to the Under Dogs SA Rehabilitation Centre.

The bones were sold for R25 each and added up to approximately R1 300 in donations.
Clients were greeted friendly, some even with a lick from the three canines Liefie, Bella and Bruno from Under Dogs SA and their volunteers.
“We would like to thank Bergens Appliances who was one of the biggest contributors to this project, as well as everyone else who dug deep into their pockets to make Christmas special for these dogs. Now Bergens is challenging the community of Krugersdorp to get involved in this project and raise funds to donate to the Under Dogs SA,” said Andia Martignone, store manager of Catbox Key West and volunteer at Under Dogs SA.
