Stork arrives on New Year’s Day
A total of 16 New Years babies have made their arrival.
A total of 16 New Years’ babies have been delivered at the Netcare Krugersdorp Private Hospital on 1 January.
There was a sound of joy when Nicho Pretorius made her appearance as the first baby to be born at the hospital at 7.27am.
Her parents Cliff and Nadia from Kromdraai said their baby, who weighed 2,1kg at birth, is an amazing gift.
“It is the best feeling ever; to feel a certain love you never knew you had.”
Monica and Shaun D’Maye, parents of little Lilly, who was born at 8am and weighed 2,65kg at birth, said it is their first child.
“She is a real blessing.”
Baby Luané Jacobs from Wilro Park was due for 27 January but could no longer. Born at 35 weeks at 8.45am, she weighed 2,002kg.
Her proud parents Liaan and Maryna said that she is healthy according to the doctors and very relaxed.
“This is our first baby and she is already such a blessing in our lives.”
Dian Cordier was due for 19 January but his proud parents Annamarie and Dirk from Krugersdorp-North said it seems like he could wait no longer and made his appearance at 9.25am, weighing 2,9kg at birth.
“We are really surprised about his arrival,” said his mother.
Little Falls’ Jocelyn Viljoen and Sven de Witt, parents of Kai de Witt said that their baby, who was born at 12.25pm and who weighed 3,26kg at birth, have not been crying at all.
Adrie and Johannes Engelbrecht from Carletonville said that they are not sure whether they or their five-year-old daughter Johandri are more happy about the arrival of little Johané, who they describe as their bundle of joy.
She was born at 11.40am and weighed 3,51kg at birth.
Thembi Mathibe, the mother of Lebogang says she is very happy about the arrival of her son who weighed 3,350kg when he was born at 9.26am.
Maris and Pieter Swanepoel from Randfontein said that they are relieved that their baby daughter Mi-Andri arrived healthily at 3,590kg when she was born at 11.06am.
Godfrey and Andisa Mudau, the proud parents from Grobler Park said that they too are happy about the arrival of their daughter Lindelani who arrived at 12.47pm and weighed 3,281kg at birth.
Clively Mthombeni, who weighed 3,300kg at birth was the last baby to be born at the hospital when he arrived at 1.50pm.
His proud mother Chantell Shipalana said that he is her little miracle who was due for 15 January.
