Michelle: a marketing mastermind
Key West's new marketing manager has a few tricks up her sleeve.
The new marketing manager for Key West shopping center describes Krugersdorp as a unique area with a tight-knit community.
The 27-year-old Michelle Papastefanou obtained a national diploma in Public Relations at the Tshwane University of Technology and now calls Krugersdorp her new adopted home.
“My experience with the community of Krugersdorp has been a pleasant one so far. I perceive the people as humble, down to earth and a close-knit community,” said the bubbly Michelle.
In retail since 2008, Michelle had worked at Sandton City mall, Lakeside mall, Northgate shopping centre and now Key West.
“Every shopping centre experience has been a unique one. I have adapted by loving what I do and having the determination to succeed. I haven’t found my feet yet but I’ve been told they are attached to my ankles. Silly jokes aside, being part of a team that supports and guides me has helped me a lot to find my feet.”
Apart from marketing and public relations, she told the News about her love of art and oil paintings, which she describe as her favourite downtime.
“I am an avid series watcher – I believe this to be a hobby as I take it very seriously. I love reading, travelling nationally or internationally but most of all, spending time with my family and friends is the best way to have fun.”
Her favourite aspect of Krugersdorp is, “Key West of course,” and she loves it because it is exciting to her.
She described the Concerts in the Park hosted by the shopping centre on a regular basis as one of her favourite events as she gets the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in South African music industry.
Besides her boyfriend, Michelle has two pets that melt her heart.
“I have an absolute weakness for the fluffiness and cuteness of Toy Pomeranians. Their names are Moo and Flash.”
This hardworking and dedicated marketer describes herself as a prankster who is a loyal friend.
“I always have had massive dreams but enjoy letting my hair down every now and then.”
Excited to be working with the community of Krugersdorp, Michelle’s motto in life is never a failure, always a lesson.
“Hit me up on the Key West Facebook Page or email me at michelle@mseed.co.za,” said Michelle.
