Man dies to avoid fallen equipment
When the paramedics arrived on the scene they found that the man have already died.
A man died in a collision on the R28 yesterday, 19 April when he swerved out to avoid equipment falling from a bakkie.
Chitra Bodasing, an ER24 spokesperson said the driver of a Toyota Fortuner rolled his vehicle and hit a pole.
“When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found the man trapped in the vehicle, but had already succumbed to his injuries,” she said.
The Krugersdorp Fire Department extricated the man from the vehicle.
Bodasing said another patient was treated for moderate injuries before he was transported to hospital for further medical care.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
