Surprise Renata, you won!

A resident was surprised to find out she was the winner of a Father's Day hamper after supporting a local animal organisation.

When Renata Fulton bought a raffle ticket in support of Friends of Rescued Animals (Fora) she did not actually expect to win the Father’s Day hamper.

Julie Wasserman, manager of Fora’s bookshop in Fourth Street said tickets was for sale at R20 each and the lucky winner’s name was drawn on Saturday 20 June.

“I did not expect to win. I bought only one ticket and was quite surprised to find out I have won!”

The hamper, containing goodies such as body creams, shower gel, aftershave, a pouch and much more, will go to her husband Bob.

Her daughter Annie was with her when shopkeeper Pat Palmer handed over the hamper to her.
