Purpose-driven Haneke
This occupational therapist is taking the West Rand by storm, with a chance of inspirational showers.
An inspiring woman on a mission is set to change the world, or at least her world – one positive thought at a time.
Haneke Jonas is an occupational therapist who has been working on the West Rand for over 10 years and recently joined Life Poortview Hospital’s team by opening her own practice.
Haneke who is a country girl from Bloemfontein, first set her roots on the West Rand when she started working as a psychiatric occupational therapist at the Life Robinson Hospital in Randfontein in 2004.
Next she set her sights on Krugersdorp when she moved to Netcare Bell Street Hospital with her new practice and recently again to Roodepoort.
What makes Haneke so good at what she does is because she nearly burned herself out a few years ago and can relate to others feeling overwhelmed.
It was a turning point for her when she realised she cannot empower others if she can’t even help herself.

In this time she realised it is not what happens to you that matters most, but how you perceive it.
After completing her studies, Haneke jetted off to London to gain some experience in the occupational therapy field. This is where she discovered she wanted to specialise in a psychiatry field while working in a locum day clinic.
With a great passion to empower people, Haneke recently began presenting workshops that include goal setting and living a purposeful and driven life, how to deal with stress and the Demartini method, often described as a cutting edge personal transformation methodology developed by Doctor John Dermartini, an American author.
Besides the life-changing workshops, one can not help but feel inspired by her fresh approach on life and perception.
