Brave cancer fighter dies
Those close to Enid educated many on the impact cancer has not only on the patient, but on the patient's family as well.
It is with great sadness that the News informs its readers of the passing of a very brave person who fought until the very end.
Enid von Abo was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer in June last year and was told she had only one year left to live.
A year ago the News reported about Enid’s family not only supporting her every step of the way, but also came together to create much-needed awareness about cancer.

On 23 August, 15 of Enid’s friends and family members decided to have their heads shaved in support of their beloved Enid.
Enid’s sister Donna Bothma also started to sell bracelets resulting in over R13 000 being raised for Enid and her family since their medical aid did not cover many of Enid’s treatments.
Through their efforts, those close to Enid educated many on the impact cancer has not only on the patient, but on the patient’s family as well.
Enid’s funeral service will be held tomorrow, 5 August at 1pm at the AFM Church in the Krugersdorp CBD, corner of Ockerse and Jeppe Streets.
