Passenger flung from car in collision

A passenger was seriously injured as he was flung from his Mustang after an accident over the weekend.

A passenger was flung from his vehicle and seriously injured following an accident on Paardekraal Avenue on Saturday, 15 August, night.

A Mustang and Toyota Conquest collided leaving vehicle debris scattered across the road.

The members of Sector 4’s Community Policing Forum along with paramedics, the police and the Mogale City’s Emergency Services were called to the scene close to the KFC at Key West Shopping Centre. The passenger of the Mustang sustained serious injuries as he was flung from his car due to the impact of the crash.

The passenger was stablised on the scene and rushed to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.

A passenger from the Conquest was also rushed to hospital for serious injuries.

Due to the impact of the accident, a traffic light, along with an cement dusbin were damaged as the vehicles collided.

Mogale City’s Emergency Services were called to assist in cleaning up the scene.

It is believed that the Conquest tried to push the Mustang off the road and with the impact of the second hit, the Mustang went over the island and into a cement on opposite side of the road.
