ECD centres awarded for dedication

Play-with-a-Purpose believes it is important to recognise and award early childhood development centres.

Over 50 awards and trophies were handed out by Robyn Wienand, Play-with-a-Purpose’s Founder and CEO, at the eighth Annual National Awards evening.

Winners included four early childhood development (ECD) centres in Krugersdorp: Tjokkertjies vir Jesus (Play-with-a-Purpose Krugersdorp), Rainbow Drift (Muldersdrift), Orient Hills (Magaliesburg) and Sechaba Video Centre (Muldersdrift). Rainbow Valley (Roodepoort) walked away with the highest, National Award for Top Model Preschool of the Year.

Play-with-a-Purpose believes it is important to recognise and award early childhood development centres for their hard work in all social and economic groups. Research shows access to early education has a direct correlation to lower crime rates and increased economy growth.

“ECD is an investment into South Africa’s future and Play-with-a-Purpose congratulates those centres who actively are a part of making a positive change in our country,” Robyn said.
