Wrecked vehicle sparks curiosity
A known notorious drug lord crashed his vehicle in the spruit in Krugersdorp West.
Early morning traffic in Rustenburg Road in Krugersdorp West was delayed as curious drivers and residents tried to get a glimpse of the wrecked vehicle which landed in the spruit after an accident.
Members of the Sector 5 Community Policing Forum (CPF) were called out to the scene after 10pm last night, 3 September, after the vehicle crashed through the cement bridge and landed on its roof in the spruit.
The CPF was then called out a second time at around 7am this morning as it is believed that vagrants started to strip the wrecked vehicle of its part after the accident occurred last night.
It is believed that the driver of the vehicle is a known notorious drug lord operating in the Krugersdorp West and Burgershoop areas.
Mogale City’s Emergency Management Services (EMS) arrived on the scene and treated the driver and passenger for injuries.
The driver was later taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for the serious injuries he obtained.
Bystanders of the accident believe the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident.
