[PHOTOS] Tough guys rough it for charity
Full of mud and loving it. Children and grown-ups alike embraced the 4x4 obstacle course day at the Hobby Park.
“No, you are not falling over, the 4×4 can handle this.”
This is what drivers told their passengers along the adventure obstacle course that went through mud and deep water and over steep hills. Nerves indeed were on edge.
But it was all for a good cause.

Hobby Park in Noordheuwel hosted a Girls and Boys Town fundraising event. Fees for the 4×4 obstacles and mountain bike trails at the event were donated to the organisation.
Every year Kosmos Lodge’s Freemasons and Boys and Girls Town organise a fun-filled action day to raise funds. Hertie Bosch, one of the fundraising coordinators told the News that about R30 000 was raised at this type of event last year.
“The funds go towards bettering the lives of the children we support and allow for even more children to be accommodated.”

Friends and family showed their support and enjoyed a special treasure hunt and delicious braai on the cloudy weekend.
The winner of the obstacle course won a goodie bag and the smiles of many grateful hearts.
