Abandoned toddler’s parents seeked

Abandoned two-year-old's parents wanted by the police.

Kagiso Police appeal to the community to help locate the parents of an abandoned toddler found earlier this year.

Lieutenant Colonel Bezuidenhoudt from Crime Prevention at Kagiso Police urges residents in the area of Kagiso Extension 12 to assist her to trace a two-year-old’s family.

The boy was found wandering around in the area unattended on 15 May.

Bezuidenhoudt explained that the boy was placed in a home of safety and to date no one has reported him missing.

“A passer-by allegedly found the boy. The child was brought to the police when his family could not be traced,” Captain Appel Ernst, from Randfontein Communication and Liaison Service said.

“He is unable to identify himself.”

If anyone can identify the child, contact Kagiso Police on 011 696 9035 or Kagiso Child Welfare on 011 410 8314.
