Yesterday, 12 January, the mall announced that they will be opening their doors today in a press release posted on their Facebook page.
“Key West Shopping Centre Management would like to announce that we are aiming to reopen the centre tomorrow at 9am, subject to the necessary approvals from the local authorities. Some stores did suffer damages and will only open later this week,” the statement reads.

However the reopening was postponed as local authorities and disaster management are still onsite investigating the damage and the building.
It is believed the gym, Virgin Active, has reopened in the meanwhile.
“Local authorities in conjunction with Disaster Management are re-convening at noon as final inspections are currently being concluded. Thereafter, the time of the centre’s re-opening will be announced. We thank you for your patience,” a new update reads.
The News contacted the mall’s marketing team for an update, who was busy in a meeting at the time and promised to get back with more information.
