After the community once again worked with police in helping fight crime, a 21-year-old suspect was arrested for being in possession of stolen goods.
On 7 January he was arrested at the Norman informal settlement in Tarlton.
“It is alleged the police received a tip off from a concerned resident about the suspect’s suspicious activities, the police acted upon the given information which led to the arrest of the suspect,” police spokesperson, Constable Lucky Matome said.
The suspect was allegedly found in possession of two truck batteries and two car radios, valued at R4 000.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
The Station Commander of Tarlton police, Lieutenant Colonel Christina Tsoaedi, is very satisfied with the good working relationship between the community and the police.
