Krugersdorp Police are on the lookout for five suspects who robbed a house in Silverfields last week.
It is believed the victim was home alone on 6 January at around 1.30pm when he heard a noise at the door.
“When the victim went to investigate, he saw five unknown males who forced open the door,” Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale, Krugersdorp Police spokesperson said.
It is believed the suspects then entered the property and threatened him with a pick to keep quiet.
The suspects assaulted the victim. They locked him in a bedroom and instructed him to keep quiet otherwise they would kill him.
“The suspects ransacked the house and took clothes, cellphones, a TV and laptop,” Mashale explained.
Krugersdorp Police appeal to the community to be on the lookout for suspicious people walking around your area for no apparent reason or vehicles driving aimlessly in the residential area.
“Many times these criminals are seen walking the streets. Let’s work together for a safer community for all. Call the police or your neighbourhood watch to investigate.”
