Suspects hide TVs in bush, still on the run

Police are looking for the perpetrators who stole and hid three plasma televisions.

Police are searching for the suspect(s) who stole three plasma televisions and hid it in shrubbery in Magaliesburg.

“On Monday (18 January) a member of the community near Zeekoehoek Farm Estate found three plasma televisions hidden in the bushes and he immediately contacted the police,” said Constable Rebecca Phithi, police spokesperson.

The televisions were taken to the police station for safekeeping, she said.

“The police members did a preliminary investigation and found that the televisions are linked to a housebreaking and theft at Zeekoehoek,” Phithi said.

Police are conducting further investigations to secure the arrest of the suspect or suspects responsible for the housebreaking and theft.

Lieutenant Colonel Joyce Julla, station commander urged residents to come forward with information regarding the perpetrators.

“This does not only apply to this specific case but to all cases in which suspected criminals are hiding in the community,” Phithi explained.
