Local psychic predicts the world of 2016

It’s highly controversial, yet some believe it to be the absolute truth.

A psychic is a person who claims to use extrasensory perception to identify information hidden from the normal senses. Vee Rendall is one such psychic in the West Rand.

She is a 73-year-old medium who spends her days “connecting with people that have passed on”.

“I was 17 when I discovered this ability. Someone approached me on a ship sailing to Australia and asked if I knew I had the sight,” Vee told the News in her reading room.

The reading room is a small home office with walls lined with pictures of her two sons and family members. Different tarot cards are scattered on the wooden desk and a crystal ball hide under a suede cloth. Classical music is whispering from a small radio in the corner of the room.

“I told her that as a stout catholic I did not believe in such things and she should leave me alone. But she didn’t. I finally gave in and told her I would read her tea cup. I didn’t even know what I was doing,” Vee explained.

At that moment Vee simply started saying things she saw in the cup. She then called for one of the ship’s employees and told him that he should not run away when the ship ports again.

“He called me a witch,” she laughed.

Vee, between seeing clients every day of the week, has formed a prediction for what lies in store for the new year.

“This is going to be a very different year. We are in a worldwide war of terror which will escalate and perhaps turn into World War III. Even if the war will take many innocent victims, it will also bring family and friends closer together.

“It will be a year of love and family bonds. We can expect an exodus of people leaving to and from different countries to be with their families,” she said.

And not forgetting the best conversation starter, Vee predicts the weather will continue to be severe with massive earthquakes around Mount Everest.

“This will cause water to flow. Japan is also under threat caused by water. This will definitely be a year with unexpected environmental changes. The icy areas will be disrupted and a lot of rainfall is predicted in Brazil.

“This might cause havoc for the 2016 Olympics.”
