Members within the Krugersdorp Police Cluster came together to celebrate a day dedicated to them.
The Krugersdorp Cluster celebrated National Police Day on 27 January with a special ceremony hosted in Tarlton.
The Employee Health and Wealth Service’s (EHW) presented an awareness programme, which discussed topics such as suicide prevention, retirement planning and the importance of naming dependents on the nominations of beneficiaries.
In a keynote address, Brigadier Henry Mollegai, acting Krugersdorp Police Station commander, encouraged members to look after themselves and their colleagues.
He emphasised the back-to-basics initiative and called on all employees to give 100 per cent in this endeavour.
A local choir entertained the members, after which letters of appreciation were handed over to six employees who will be retiring later this year.
Their collective years of service to the South African Police Service estimated to nearly 200 years.
Brigadier Mollegai then read the Code of Conduct.
The official programme was concluded where members all enjoyed a traditional braai.
