A Metro Police cop was killed in the wee hours of a Sunday morning earlier in February.
The incident happened at the corner of Sedumedi and Khutsa Streets near a popular tavern.
His car was hijacked but later found abandoned nearby.
Paramedics who were called to the scene pronounced him dead before reaching the hospital.
It also was discovered that the man was a traffic officer employed by the Johannesburg Metro Police Department.
Kagiso Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said no arrests have been made but police are investigating the case. They already have questioned people in connection with the murder.
