A woman was hijacked in broad day light after dropping her children off at school earlier this week.
The Krugersdorp police confirmed the incident and are now investigating a case of hijacking after the woman was hijacked at gunpoint on 23 February at around 7.45am in her driveway.
The mother stopped at her house in Van Lill Street, Mindalore when she was approached by two unknown male suspects.
One of the suspects threatened her with a firearm and instructed her to get out of her blue Mercedes-Benz.
Suddenly four male suspects appeared out of nowhere and jumped in her vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Fortunately no shots were fired and no serious injuries were reported.
The Krugersdorp police is asking the community to be on the lookout for the hijacked vehicle with a registration number plate of BC 75 LB GP and report it immediately.
“We are appealing to the community to help with information that can help the investigating officer arrest the suspects involved,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.
