Warning: Peace rally planned for next weekend
Mogale4Christ along with its partners are getting ready to take a peaceful stand.
Mogale4Christ hereby gives notice that they will be staging a “Peace and No to racism” rally taking place in Krugersdorp next weekend.
In the light of the recent acts of racism in the country, the Working Committee has been mandated by members of Mogale4Christ to arrange a peace rally.
Mogale4Christ is a representative of most Christian denominations in Mogale City, which includes Kagiso, Munsieville, Tarlton and Magaliesburg and meet on a regular basis to celebrate their “connected-ness” and positive presence in the community.
With as many as 300 people expected to take part in the rally, they will put forth a peaceful demonstration of their commitment to a non-racial and reconciled community.
Joyful singing and praying will form part of the rally as those who assemble use the time to interconnect.
Flags and banners will be exhibited and participants are asked to bring their own flag or banner along marked with #WeAreOne or #OnsIsEen wording.
The Peace and Unity rally will be held on 16 April from 8am to noon on the corner of Paardekraal Drive and Viljoen Street opposite Key West Shopping Centre.
