Dealers take yet another knock
Two drug-dealing foreign nationals spent Freedom Day behind bars after police had discovered their secret stash.
Two foreign nationals from the notorious drug hub in Sivewright Street did not known what hit them yesterday morning (27 April).
Responding to a tip-off about an alleged drug house where drug dealings are said to be done, officers of the West Rand Cluster Police K9 Unit first assessed the situation from the train station close by the street. At around 8am they moved in and entered the house.
There they found two foreign nationals, one of whom is a known drug dealer in the area.
After searching the rooms, police found a loose floor board in one of the cupboards.
Hidden in the compartment below they found a box with 13 packets containing small balls of the drug known as cat – also known as methcathinone – wrapped in plastic.
Each packed contained approximately two grams of the substance, with the street value of the entire find estimated at R2 600.
The two foreign nationals spent Freedom Day not so free. They are behind bars at the Krugersdorp Police Station.
