Man stabbed continuously at his front gate
A man was ambushed and stabbed several times at his front gate last night.
Emergency first-aid responders and CPF patrollers found a resident covered in blood following a stabbing incident in Kenmare last night.
It is believed the hysterical screams of a neighbour sent a member of the Sector 8 Community Policing Forum (CPF) to a house in Kenmare.
Upon arrival the member walked in on a man and the pavement covered in blood and quickly called for urgent backup at 7.15pm.
A Dowry High Risk unit along with patrollers of the CPF quickly responded to the incident, followed by paramedics from Netcare 911 and the Krugersdorp Police.
The man, believed to be in his late 50’s, was treated on the scene for stab wounds to his neck, face and head before he was taken to hospital for further medical treatment.
It is believed the man responded to a knock at his gate when the incident occurred. When he opened the gate he was ambushed and stabbed several times before the perpetrators fled the scene.

It is further believed that the perpetrators may be known to the victim.
His wife and children were home at the time of the senseless incident.
The News contacted the Krugersdorp Police who will release a statement regarding the incident in due time.
