Graduates complete preschool training

The programme is unique because it merges behaviour-based learning theories with a neuroscientific framework.

Recently, 22 trainees graduated from Preschools 4 Africa’s Play-with-a-Purpose training and mentorship programme.

The graduation was held at the Preschools 4 Africa head office and training centre in Muldersdrift.

CEO and founder, Robyn Wienand, with trainers Liezel Mason and Keabetswe Makole, handed over the certificates to the trainees who had finished a six-month course.

Trainees who walked away with top awards in the Academic, Creative and Best Theme Files categories were Tanya Davis (Star Sprouts Preschool), Tsholofelo Motsai (Kganya Preschool) and Gerda Oelofse (Rabboni Christian Preschool).

These preschools are now fully-fledged Preschools 4 Africa schools and join the ranks of over 80 preschools across South Africa in being part of the Play-with-a-Purpose mentorship programme. The programme is unique because it merges behaviour-based learning theories with a neuroscientific framework, providing a powerful perspective on teaching and learning.

Early childhood development is a vital piece of the puzzle if we are to equip future generations with the tools they need to become gainful citizens in the future of an ever-changing South Africa.

Play-with-a-Purpose Educational Trust t/a Preschools 4 Africa is a non-profit organisation with a vision to provide a quality preschool within walking distance of every child’s home.

The Play-with-a-Purpose programme has been trained out both nationally and internationally, in countries such as Australia, Ghana, Malaysia, Singapore, Botswana, the UK, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and the United States of America. Preschools 4 Africa has offices and early childhood development training centres in Gauteng, the Eastern Cape, the Western Cape and the North West Province.
