Fancy babies celebrate their birthdays

Honeyfield Daycare recently treated its pre-school learners to burgers, birthday cakes and a braai.
The daycare’s birthday bash was initially intended to celebrate the birthdays of six of their pupils who turned a year older during October.
The children, aged between two and six years old, started the party at 11am and enjoyed a bright sunny day, balloons and sweets before their large and delicious meals. Silver Arrow Spur in Krugersdorp donated more than 20 beef burgers and chips for the children to enjoy. They also received cold drinks from Spur.

The children all huddled up on the carpet of their Wendy house classroom and put the burger boxes on their laps.
Their eyes widened as they opened the boxes, revealing a massive burger. Some of the children had to use two hands to pick it up and eat it, others had a burger in one hand and chips in the other.
Their parents, who were just outside celebrating in a marquee, enjoyed a scrumptious spit-braai and all kinds of salads.
After their meals the children played outside to let the food go down before digging into the colourful birthday cakes.
Both the children and their parents enjoyed each other’s company while boasting about their progress.
