Calm before the storm?

Be prepared – SA Weather says heavy weather is on its way.

Don’t let the sunshine and calm weather fool you – the SA Weather Services have issued another warning saying heavy weather conditions are looming for Gauteng.

Residents got a glimpse of what to expect later today and in the next few days as heavy winds, hail and torrential rain began shortly after midnight last night. Numerous suburbs were also left without power.

“We are still expecting weather conditions that may result in heavy rain, hailstorms, flash-flooding and damage to property,” said the Weather Service’s Lebogang Mashile, although nothing severe is being reported at the moment.

The News would like to invite readers to send through their photos and video clips of the weather, and their tips for surviving the storms, to krugersdorpnews@caxton.co.za. Alternately, readers can post their contributions on our Facebook page.
