Cameron putts his way to stardom

Young golfer, Cameron is making people green with envy as he golfs his way to stardom.

Cameron Swanepoel has golfed himself all the way to an invitation to play in the Junior Silver Vase Tournament at the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club in December.

This comes hot on the heels of his participation in the Dimension Data Junior Open at Fancourt where he competed with players from other provinces. The Maragon learner and avid sportsman will also be participating in the 2016 Johannesburg Open at the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club, which will be hosted by the South African Golf Association.

Cameron has a history of greatness on the course. He was invited to take part in the CCGU Junior Championships held at Eagle Canyon at the end of last year and this year. Earlier, at the Easter CCGU Tournament he participated in four of the five events that were scheduled and placed overall second with an average score of 74.

The young golfer continues to fly Maragon’s flag high as he plays in the Scratch League for the Ruimsig Country Club.

Cameron currently is ranked 30th on the CCGU rankings, 19 places better than last year.

He is part of the BDGA Golfing Academy where they cover from golf technique, course management to psychological evaluations.
