Mpho wins a Gauteng title

Mpho 'Turbo' Seforo won the Gauteng light-flyweight title last week.

Boxing his way to the belt, Mpho Turbo Seforo beat Percy Mkhize on Saturday, 26 November at the Centenary Hall in Krugersdorp.

Turbo won the Gauteng light-flyweight title at the Box and Dine annual fight, on a ten-round majority points decision.

“Mpho has improved a lot and now qualifies for a South African title that we are not going to compete for, because I want to make sure that he is ready for the big guys. That’s why we are going for an easy fight for now,” said his trainer, Dida Dipheko.

Turbo has an impressive record of five fights with no loss, and although this fight was closely fought, he built up points with stiff jabs to the head throughout.
