Young woman critical after vehicle hits lamppost
The driver of the vehicle, who is believed to be in a relationship with the female victim, sustained no injuries.
A female passenger was left with critical injuries after the vehicle she was traveling in collided with a lamppost on Robert Broom Drive close to Plantland, on Sunday, 4 December at about 4.30pm.
The 17-year-old female patient was allegedly left with a bleed on the brain from the head injury she sustained. ER24 paramedics stabilised her on the scene before transporting her to the Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital for further medical attention.
The driver of the vehicle, who is believed to be in a relationship with the girl, sustained no injuries.
Since the accident, the family has wanted to transfer her to Milpark Hospital by helicopter, but alleged bad weather conditions prevented them from doing so.
