Seven escape with minor injuries as bakkie rolls
The passengers who were sitting on the back of the bakkie when it rolled off the highway were lucky to survive .
Local authorities were dispatched after a bakkie had rolled off the N14 near the Beyers Naudé Drive off-ramp on Tuesday morning, 6 December. The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
ER24 paramedics found the vehicle upside down on the middle island of the road running below the N14. Seven people who were sitting on the back of the bakkie when it rolled had injuries varying from minor to moderate. The paramedics worked alongside other emergency services on scene to assist the injured.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. Patients were transported to various provincial hospitals for further care.
