After many rejections in the radio world, John began his career on LM Radio. He went on to be the catalyst that started “Top Twenty” Radio in South Africa and became the highest earning radio personality in South Africa. This opened up the world of prank calls made by characters such as Gertie, Jan Sweetpak and many others.

Robin Binckes decided to write his new book about John and his personal as well as prank-calling life. The book will be on sale the evening at R300 per copy.
