Mogale gives update on Rand Water's supply struggles as Kenmare sump runs dry
Kenmare faces fresh supply disruptions as critical sump levels drop further, while the Kagiso system is being pumped directly.
Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM) has updated residents following widespread morning water outages on September 15.
According to MCLM assistant manager for Media and PR, Refilwe Mahlangu, Rand Water is struggling to maintain supply, with little progress made to restore full services.
“Rand Water is still not pumping into most parts of the city’s system but has indicated that it is pumping directly into the Kagiso supply line. The system is expected to show gradual improvement as the day progresses,” she explained.
