Watch: Another meteor clearly visible in the night sky over Krugersdorp

While the rest of the world stood in awe of the 2017 solar eclipse, Krugersdorpers had the chance to see one of the clearest meteors slice through the sky.

A video of a meteor falling out of the sky was sent to the News last night, 22 August.

While the rest of the world watched the sun disappearing into the darkness of the moon, Jan Breytenbach saw something spectacular right here at home.

The video starts with a black sky and inspirational speech in the background. Nothing much happens, and then out of the blue a ball of white light slashes through the darkness.

“Whoa,” exclaimed Jan while seeing the light flash.

The speech in the background adds to the ambience with the inspirational speaker saying: “Count your blessings.”

Jan turned down the radio and said “Dit was cool.”
