Residents loot truck after attempted hijacking
Two men attempted to hijack a truck but abandoned their efforts.
On 30 August at 9.30am, a man and his crew were transporting a truck full of groceries for the company they work for.
In the vicinity of Kafue Street, Tshepisong, they were confronted by two men. One of them, who was armed with a firearm, ordered the truck to stop.
The men also ordered the driver to hand over his wallet and cellphone. The driver and his team were able to escape into an open field through the passenger side door.

They immediately phoned the police and their manager, but at 9.50am they saw that the truck had been abandoned and residents were busy looting it.
By that time the two men who attempted the hijacking were long gone.
