Vigilant police officer catches car thieves

A vigilant police officer spotted a stolen car and arrested the four criminals inside.

On Saturday, 3 November, at about 7pm, a Muldersdrift police member received a request to keep an eye out for a silver grey Ford Ranger.

The bakkie was allegedly stolen in Welbekend and had a tracking unit fitted. It was reported that the vehicle was driving on the N14. The officer saw the vehicle as he was patrolling.

He pulled the vehicle over and found two 32-year-old males, a 32-year-old female and a 22-year-old female inside.

All four were arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and are set to appear in court.
