Basaar

31 MEI — Daar word weer Basaar gehou by die NG Krugersdorp-Noord Kerk, op die hoek van Viljoen- en Derdestraat, van 4nm. Daar gaan heerlike musiek wat jou voete sal laat juk wees, met tradisionele basaarkos soos kerrie en rys, pannekoek, poeding, pap en wors, hamburgers, chip-n-dip, koeldrank en baie meer. Daar gaan ook tuisgebak wees soos ma/ ouma dit gedoen het. Die eetgoed is heerlik! En daar sal ook hope vermaak vir die kinders wees. Kom geniet die aand saam met ons, die atmosfeer is aansteeklik! Moet dit nie mis nie!

Rotary Bingo Evening

The Rotary Club of Krugersdorp and its Anns are hosting their extremely popular annual Bingo evening.

31 MAY — The Rotary Club of Krugersdorp and its Anns are hosting their extremely popular annual Bingo evening to raise funds for various community projects. The event takes place in the Centenary Hall at Krugersdorp’s Town Hall, with safe parking available. All monies raised are ploughed back into the community. Come and join an evening filled with fun, laughter, entertainment and lots of great prizes that can be won in our lucky draws. Extra Bingo cards and lucky draw tickets will be available. Book a table now to avoid disappointment. The cost for a table of 10 persons is R1 200 or R120 per person. The entrance fee includes one free Bingo ticket and one entry for the Lucky Draw. Autumn Fun Run and Day

1 JUNE —SAVF Môreglans Old Age Home is hosting a fun run and day and everyone is invited. The day’s activities kick off at 8am. There will be great crafts and food stalls available. There are also still some stall space available at a fee of R200. The old age home is situated at 77 Market Street, Krugersdorp. For more information, contact Janine on 082 322 5093.

The Upside Down Church invites the community and all denominations to join them on a prayer walk.

1 JUNE — The Upside Down Church invites the community and all denominations to join them on a prayer walk on 1 June. “We want to unify all churches and communities in the area to pray together. The plan is to start in Silverfields and then host similar prayer walks in different parts of the community. Kenmare and Silverfields have seen an increase in the number of incidents of violent crime, and things have begun to look dire,” Pastor Daniel Prinsloo explained. Everyone will be meeting at 9am at Silverfields Primary on the Saturday morning. There will also be a prayer area for those who cannot walk the whole way.

Enjoy a cocktail at the Champagne Bar or Tipo Tinto, a health drink at Baa Smoothies or a coffee at the Bean Machine. Try some of the yummy food available – there’s lots of it! You’ll find a variety of decorative gifts, divine body products, jewellery and much more! Bring the family and your pets for a fun-filled day. The market is open from 9am to 4pm.

Melville Koppies Guided Tour

2 JUNE — Join a three-hour guided tour through the Melville Koppies Nature Reserve, starting at 2pm. You can park in the upper car park at Marks Parks in Judith Road, Emmarentia, opposite their entrance. 5 JUNE — The West Rand Chamber of Business and Tourism is hosting its popular Roundabout Tour again. This unique day tour, which costs R325 per person, will start with breakfast overlooking a lake at Cradle Moon Lakeside Restaurant. This will be followed by a visit to the new Antique Shack as well as stops at Fanél and Garden World. The day ends with lunch at Gilroy’s Brewery and a visit to the Ngwenya Glass Factory.
