Bingo evening another roof-raising success

The Krugersdorp Rotary Club hosted its fourth Rotary Bingo Extravaganza.

“There were some kids who had a dog. And Bingo was his name O …” is not just some of the lyrics of a popular children’s song. It’s also the name you call out when you play a game that is quickly becoming a very popular pastime in Krugersdorp.

On Friday, 31 May the Krugersdorp Rotary Club hosted its fourth Rotary Bingo Extravaganza in the Centenary Hall in the Krugersdorp CDB.

A fun outing for Tandy Dickinson and the Pretorius family – Jenny and Japie with kids Raquele and Egan.

The Bingo evening was combined with a lucky draw with many prizes up for grabs – the major one being a six night/ seven day holiday on the coast sponsored by Magda Erasmus.

This holiday for 12 people, was won by Huibrecht Meiring, owner of Premier Guesthouse. The raffle ticket that won him a wheelbarrow filled with liquor, chocolates and other treats belonged to Ampie de Bruin.

The Murdoch family; Stewart, Jean Claude, Kelwin and Darren with Carolina Coetzee.

The more than R50 000 that was raised will fund the Krugersdorp Rotary Club’s projects. Their main projects are aimed at providing accommodation and comfort for the elderly within the Krugersdorp community.

The Rotary Club of Krugersdorp would like to thank all their sponsors for making the evening so special for everyone.
